Paneltim Grease Arrestor:
Water Corporation has approved Viking Plastics’ Paneltim grease arrestor tanks for sizes up to and including 10,000 litres. Water Corporation is the Western Australia Water Authority. Viking had previously received approval from Water Corp for tanks ranging from 540 litres to 2,000 litres. Viking Plastics is pleased to announce the approval now extends to tanks up to 10,000 litre capacity. This includes above and below ground installations.
Viking’s trade waste tanks are manufactured from sheet polypropylene (PP) and/or polyethelyne (HDPE). Two construction methods are offered, the traditional Thin Skin method and “Paneltim®”. Paneltim® is an innovative 50mm thick, dual skin sandwich panel with an internal cross-rib cell structure. A Paneltim grease arrestor offers the following benefits:
- lightweight structure that offers superior strength and rigidity in both length and width
- large above ground tanks over 2000 litres are typically more economical when constructed with Paneltim®
- faster and lower cost below ground installation – no need for poured concrete reinforcement
- high abrasive and impact resistance
- UV stabilised
Access Covers
A below ground Paneltim grease arrestor is fitted with concrete infill access covers manufactured to Australian Standards to suit expected traffic situations. The lids provide full access for maintenance purposes.
Above ground tanks can be fitted with either quick release screw lids or hinged access lids. Hinged lids provide ease of access for maintenance. Screw-in lids are most suited for smaller tanks up to 4000L.
