45 Litre Grease Trap:
Viking Plastics’ new domestic 45 litre grease trap
Viking Plastics has a new product in their range – a 45 litre grease trap for use in domestic kitchens. Viking’s domestic grease trap is installed in-line between the kitchen sink and the septic tank, Aerated Water Treatment System or sewer. This is because the tank collects greasy waste that flows between the sink and the sewer. Greasy waste and oils float to the surface. An outlet baffle prevents waste from discharged to the sewer.
Viking Plastics’ domestic grease trap is unique because it is available for both above ground and below ground installations.
Above ground traps are PVC with quick release circular lids. Below ground traps are made using Paneltim® with flat Paneltim® access covers.
Paneltim® plastic sandwich construction panels have an internal cross-ribbed close cell structure. The panels are superior in strength and rigidity. As a result, Paneltim® tanks do not need concrete reinforcement. They can be back-filled with crushed rock and/or stabilised sand. Note: Do not install below ground domestic grease traps in areas subject to vehicle traffic.
