Custom Plastic Fabrication

Viking Plastics were set a task to manufacture large drip tray sets for the Maules Creek Coal Mine load out facility.  Four tray sets each up to 30 metres long were manufactured in Viking’s Braeside factory and transported via large crates to Maules Creek located in New South Wales’ Gunnedah Basin, 95 kilometres north west of Tamworth.  The customised plastic fabricated trays were required to collect spill to protect the environment, equipment and transport.  Installed underneath the mine’s conveyor belt, the trays were fabricated from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), a material that can withstand high temperatures, is chemical resistant and not susceptible to corrosion.
